  Yesterday
Yesterday we attended the Harvard Arts Festival. The various societies at the college gave free performances in music, dance, comedy and magic. We heard a group of Franco-Flemish polyphonic singers in a beautiful stone atrium, a piano duo playing Rachmaninoff and a string quartet playing Brahms in the courtyard of the Fogg Museum. It was a wonderful way to spend a rainy day. Later we ate at Marcello's restaurant on Newbury Street, a hidden treasure of mixed Iranian and Italian cuisine. We tried to attend the Mariners-Sox game at Fenway, but unfortunately it was rained out and postponed for today. I can't make it, so a friend is going in my place to root for the M's. Instead we came home and played dominoes. We didn't have any dominoes, so I made some out of cardboard and whiteout!
